Bu Qtair Fish Restaurant Review

Do you want to go to a hotel as if you were just at home? Then you should go to the Bu Qtair hotel near Kite Beach on Jumeirah Road. They offer fresh shrimp and fish and offer Arabic bread together or you can order rice with only AED 10. Drinks and water need AED 1. Waiting for the location takes15-30 minutes but it is totally worth it. Awesome.

Away from the direction of the sailing hotel, slowly walk along the beach and you will see it. First choose the size of the fish according to the number of people, only fish and shrimp, taste good, smell like. The side dishes can choose rice or cakes, they are called bread, very similar to Chinese hand-cooked cakes.

If you are looking for an authentic cultural food expereince look no further. Bu Qtair is a true hidden gem in the backstreets of Jumeirah next to a mini dhow graveyard/service area. The kitchen itself is actually set up in a porta-cabin with only 2 mains served a day. The catch of the day + Shrimp , loads of it! Extremely affordable and doused in a delicious spicy sauce and eaten with freshly cooked paratha, i strongly recommend you go here! - wouldnt be complete without Kadak tea so order that too! Get there before 8pm so you can grab a seat and before the paratha runs out! Structure 1- Go inside portacabin 2-Order and Pay 3- Wait on the right hand side of the portacabin till you hear your name being called out 4- get seated on plastic table and chairs 5- Dig in!

It was some time now since I last visited this place so on this trip to Dubai I decided to re visit this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised as they had moved to a large brand new building just on the opposite side. It now has a huge hall for inside sitting and a huge courtyard space for outside sitting just in front of the small beach. Most important nice clean toilets. I had to wait more than one hour before I got my chance to be served. The crowd was double then normal but most important the pricing and the food remained the same. The prawns and fish are just out of this world and so is the fish curry that you can have with hot KERALA parathas . Steamed rise is the only addition to the menu. If you love fish and prawns you must visit this place. I just love to go back !

Bu Qutair is one if those food places we keep on coming back to. This time they have better siting area (new building) just beside the fishermen marina with ample free parking space in front which is great. We arrived early with only few people in the que but as expected it got so full after sometime. We had fried fish and shrimps shared between 3 persons and it was more than enough for us. Great food, fresh and tasty!
