像这样的十字阁在中国也是不少见的，属于王宫外面的一个瞭望台一样的地方，属于军事建筑。在首尔景福宫附近的，明显就是为王宫放哨的地方。因为在城市道路的中间，所以成了环岛中的建筑物，天天这里都是车水马龙，游客也不会走过去看，远远拍个照差不多了。

在景福宫外沿着围墙走，见一座楼阁孤零零地立于马路中央。南来北往的车匆匆驶过，没有谁为它停留。这是东十字阁，过去王宫士兵瞭望放哨的地方，目前首尔仅存此一个。
