Huozhou Department is located on the north side of East Street in Huozhou City, Shanxi Province. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and covers an area of 10,000 square meters. The existing ancient buildings are the cultural heritage of Yuan, Ming and Qing ancients. Regardless of its location selection, architectural scale, or overall layout and shape design, it is the crown of the existing similar bureau in the country. It is the only ancient state-level bureau in China known to have a complete preservation, condensing the intelligence and talents of the ancient Han working people. The pearl of the Chinese nation's history and culture shines brightly, replaying the colorful scenery in Huozhou. Huozhou Department is rumored to have been the shogunate of Song Laosheng in the Sui Dynasty and the handsome house of Tang Wei Chi Gong. As a state administration department, it has been more than 1300 years. The original building was destroyed in the 7th year of Yuandade (1303). The next year, Li Boyuan of Jianzhou Zhizhou presided over the re-built. After the Ming and Qing dynasties, the renovation was added and improved. It covers an area of 3.85 10,000 square meters, divided into three major buildings on the central axis and the East-West auxiliary line and some buildings outside the agency.
