An old village situated east of Taipei, full with traditional ambience with lots of shops and a cozy feeling.

Jiufen in Taiwan is like stepping into a whimsical time capsule. Wandering through narrow lanes adorned with red lanterns, it feels as if spirited cats are leading a playful parade. Teahouses, like cozy storybook nooks, invite you to sip tea while gazing at mist-covered hills. The smell of street snacks dances in the air, tempting taste buds on a delightful adventure. As the evening descends, the town sparkles like a scene from a fairy tale, lanterns casting a warm glow. Jiufen isn't just a place; it's a cute, nostalgic daydream where each corner holds a pocketful of charm. 🏮🍵🌟

Jiufen Old Street is a mesmerizing step back in time, offering a nostalgic journey through narrow cobblestone alleys adorned with traditional red lanterns. The charming old-world atmosphere, coupled with the breathtaking hillside views of the Pacific Ocean, creates an enchanting experience. The street is lined with an eclectic mix of shops selling local crafts, tea houses, and street food stalls, providing a feast for the senses. Sampling local delicacies like taro balls and pineapple cakes is a must. The distinct architecture and historical remnants add to the allure, making Jiufen a haven for those seeking a taste of Taiwanese culture and history. While the streets can get crowded, especially on weekends, the overall ambiance and unique offerings make Jiufen Old Street a captivating and memorable destination.

Absolutely love the vibes here. Hope to visit here again at evening time someday when the lanterns light up. A gan yi taroball is nice and cheap, with the view and breeze, on the mountain, I can really enjoy the afternoon here.
