The temple of Karabuza was built in the late Ptolemaic dynasty and completed during the reign of Augustus of the ancient Roman Empire. The temple was built as the main body of the Mandulis temple in memory of Mandulis, the Nubian god. The temple is located in the small town 50 km south of Aswan, not far from the shore of Lake Nasser.
