Little Italy, also known as NoLIta, is located in Lower Manhattan and was named after a large Italian settlement. Little Italy is adjacent to Chinatown in the East and, together with Chinatown, is listed as the "historic block" of New York City. Many Italian stores and restaurants are preserved here, and Italian descendants are regarded as "holy places" because they are the early immigrant areas of the United States and Italy. Here you can taste the most authentic Italian cuisine and buy small souvenirs with Mediterranean flavor.
