Suzhou Ouyuan is located near the historical district of Pingjiang Road. It was first called "Sheyuan". It was built in the early Qing Dynasty and destroyed in the chaos of terracotta warriors and horses. After the purchase of Susong Taidao Taotai Shen Bingcheng, the Qing painter Gu Yu designed it and built the current "coupling garden". After the completion of the Coupling Garden, Shen Bingcheng and his wife lived in the garden. Coupling Garden is divided into east and west gardens, by the river in the north, a row of buildings has been built, forming a layout of one house and two gardens, unique in Suzhou's many classical gardens.
