Visited this zoo with a disabled family member in a wheelchair. We called ahead to check it would be ok to traverse the zoo and were told it would be fine. On arrival we found it to be impossible to push around the wheelchair due to the thick gravel surfaces. The zoo claimed we would have no trouble at all but in reality it was too difficult to push around someone in a wheelchair. Really disappointed that the zoo had no sympathy towards our complaint and my poor old father was made to feel and look like an invalid. Such a shame really as it is a good local attraction but the the detraction is the attitudes that are going on unchecked towards people who can't fight back.

It’s troublesome to rain, and it’s not easy to take pictures. I’m still very interested in taking many photos.

The Tasmanian land is full of life, including the small animals in captivity in this park. Tasmanian devils like carrion and eat things very fiercely. In addition, Australian kangaroos are really jumping around, not afraid of people.
