筑地市场建于1935年，是世界上最大的水产市场之一，更是东京吃寿司和刺身性价比最高的地方。市场内部称为场内市场，主要负责生鲜海产的批发、竞拍和交易；而旁边的商店街则称为场外市场，集中了各色日料店、海鲜店、蔬果店等。

说起鸟藤是筑地场外市场一家专卖鸡肉的店家，创业于明治40年（西元1907），也是一家百年老店，供应著许多知名的地鸡给东京店家营业使用，例如：福冈县的铭柄鸡、岛取县的大山鸡、山梨县的信玄鸡。可说是在筑地市场非常有名的鸡肉供应商。鸟藤分店则是店家另外供应熟食料理的店家，推荐这里的鸡肉料理：亲子丼、鸟重、ぼんじり丼，特别介绍ぼんじり丼（鸡屁股料理）。

筑地市场在银座以东，临近海岸，是日本头号的海产品交易市场，新闻常看到的鱼王之类的拍卖就经常在这里。因为即是农贸市场，又列为旅游景点，休息日的时候还是很挤的，不是打算在这里吃到原汁原味的便宜海鲜的话，没必要凑热闹。

在攻略上看见多吃出现筑地市场这个名字，所以决定去东京一定要去看看。地铁可以直达那里，很好找；走到那条街就可以看见很多的店，排着好多的人，都是小店，其实就是路边小摊，但是人真的很多。有一家卖玉子烧的，真的是排到了大马路上，但是人们都安安静静的在排队。我们去室内看了，新鲜的食材撞击你的视野，搅动了你的味蕾，我们买了两只活的毛蟹，每只5000日元，店家给加工，半小时后回来，好吃，蟹肉又鲜又甜，以后冰鲜的估计都吃不下了。海胆也超级便宜，这么一大盘吃的过瘾！很多店外都是排队的人特别多，刚中午就看见店门口显示很多东西都已经沽清透，可见多么受欢迎。日本很人性化，到处都体现出来，市场旁专卖有可以吃饭的地方，买好东西，可以在这里直接吃新鲜的。据说十二点就会关门，所以要来尝新鲜的，别来太晚呀！
