Located next to the Grand Palace, also known as Bodhi Temple, the Reclining Buddha Temple is the oldest temple in Bangkok and the largest temple in Thailand. There is a big Buddha lying on the altar, which is the largest reclining Buddha in Bangkok, and almost occupies the space of the entire temple. The reclining Buddha is cast iron, gold wrapped, and gem-encrusted. The paws are decorated with 108 auspicious patterns set in pearl shells, which are very beautiful.
