In the Yuan Dynasty, the general manager of Dali Duan began to build the Tucheng, and it was only officially built in the Ming Dynasty. So far, the entire county town has remained relatively complete and maintained the chessboard pattern when the city was built more than 600 years ago. It is one of the best preserved ancient buildings in China.
