Zhenshan Village is located in the middle section of Huaxi Reservoir between Guiyang Huaxi Scenic Area and Tianhetan Scenic Spot. It is a village with Buyi and Miao people mixed with water and mountain, divided into two villages. The village has a history of more than 400 years, and there are still historical relics such as ancient Jiantun walls and temples in the village. The village is known as the "National Ecology Museum" for its simple and ethnic style stone architecture culture, which is an important cultural landscape in Guiyang City. In 1993, it was approved as "Guizhou Zhenshan National Culture Protection Village" and in 1995 was designated as "Guizhou Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit".[1] In January 2019, Zhenshan Village was recognized as the seventh batch of famous Chinese historical and cultural villages.
