Romantic Hotels in Kedah, Malaysia

The hotel is very nice. Despite the fact that the hotel is old, and, for example, in our room type, the shower and toilet were separate, and the washbasin was in the common room area, all other things compensate for it. The hotel is clean. The location is good, 7-10 minutes by car to the central beach, you can use the Grab app or use the free shuttle bus that runs 2 times a day between the hotel and Cenang Mall, which is located in the area of the central public beach. The hotel also has friendly staff. In addition, it is convenient that you can buy all sightseeing tours right at the hotel. What we liked the most was the very tasty and varied breakfasts, as well as the infinity pool, which is open until midnight. We recommend👍🏻

Nice hotel with real potential, but it feels neglected and needs maintenance. The rooftop pool is pleasant with great views, though the big umbrella is very rusted and it closes at 7 pm, a bit too early. The room was excellent: large, spacious and really beautiful. Breakfast is a highlight, very good selection and the pancakes were outstanding. Staff is hit or miss: some are friendly and helpful, others seem bored and uninterested. The rooftop restaurant idea is nice, but service was poor. We waited a full hour for dinner while later arrivals got served first, very frustrating. Overall: good bones, great room and breakfast, but inconsistent service and visible wear and tear hold it back. Could be excellent with some care.

The hotel is beautiful, calm, and clean...perfect for total relaxation. Friendly staff, stunning pool, and peaceful vibe. The location is a bit inconvenient: it's up on a hill, so you need a car every time you arrive or leave. No fridge in the room, noticeable lack of privacy (the layout surrounds the central pool like a theater/amphitheater, with rooms openly overlooking the pool area from all sides), and due to the shape, parts of the hotel are shaded by the surrounding buildings for half the day, limiting sun exposure. Perfect if you want to disconnect and unwind; not great for frequent beach trips, full privacy, or all-day sunshine. I loved my days here. Pure relax.

The resort is really large with beautiful surroundings, kind of like an English style. There's a small gate from the hotel beach that leads directly to Cenang Beach. You'll find a lot of Westerners staying here. Breakfast is just okay, not particularly abundant, and there's a big swimming pool.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Bayou Hotel and Langkawi island. Less than 20mins transfer from the airport, 5 mins walk to the beach and a clean pool are amongst some of the great amenities. It’s a small/medium sized hotel with a personalized service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere and ambience are very nice. Breakfast was good and the seating was open air with plenty of room for all guests. Rooms were clean and good sized. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable and personalized stay in Langkawi.

Hotel is 15 floors. Check in to room with sea view on 11th floor - big, clean carpeted, separate shower and tub. Lobby pretty big with restaurant, meeting room, tour guide and a bistro. Welcome drink is a choice of fruit juice or beer at bistro. Also included is a high tea voucher for following day. Took a short walk and found a variety of different food places around - malay, Indian, Korean, Japanese and a tze char joint as well. A lot of different varieties of shops and duty free shops as Langkawi is a duty-free island where alcohol is cheaper than soft drinks. Many seafood joints around within 0.6 to 14 km radius.

We stayed at this property for two nights with my friend's families and four children. Because we had to book separate rooms in a hurry, we didn’t have high expectations and thought the kids might get tired going back and forth between rooms during the trip. However, thanks to the hotel’s thoughtful suggestion, we were upgraded to a suite. We were truly impressed by how attentive the staff were in recognizing that we were traveling together as one group! We would like to express our sincere thanks to Manager Asim for creating such an unforgettable memory for our children ☺️ Although the hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the main tourist attractions, we really enjoyed the many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Next time, we would love to visit Langkawi again with our parents and enjoy another family trip here ❣️

I booked a 2-night stay with my Mrs in one of the villas connected to the shared pool, and our experience started off on a great note. We were picked up from the airport in a very comfortable Toyota Alphard arranged by the resort. Our driver and resort staff, Khai, was incredibly friendly—he patiently answered all my questions and gave us fantastic food recommendations since it was my first time in LGK. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Daniel at the lobby. He served us beautifully presented lemon peach teas as a welcome drink and brought us through the entire check-in process. While waiting for our villa to be ready, we had lunch at the resort’s only restaurant. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the stay that fell short—the pizza crust was undercooked, a bit greasy, and tasted store-bought, which was quite disappointing. Thankfully, things picked up again after that. Khai later escorted us to our villa, and we were relieved that our balcony didn’t directly face the restaurant. However, I do feel the pool and villa balconies could be designed to offer more privacy so diners aren’t looking out over the area. Overall, the stay was truly pleasant. I loved that the resort is away from the busy beach, giving us a peaceful and quiet environment. All the staff were warm and friendly. A few standout perks include: 1. Complimentary rides to and from the property (subject to booking and availability) 2. Free minibar, replenished daily—including coffee capsules 3. Complimentary Netflix and YouTube accounts on the TV (which both my wife and I really love) 4. A pretty decent in-room breakfast experience. (they definitely do breakfast better than lunch, in my opinion) I also indulged in a 90-minute massage, which started with herbal tea, grapes, and a carrot stick during a herbal foot bath, followed by a foot massage and a one-hour full-body aromatherapy massage. My masseuse, Yaya, was incredibly patient and attentive, constantly checking on the pressure and even gifting me a small goodie bag at the end. All in all, I wouldn’t mind returning—and I’m even considering trying one of their larger 3-room villas next time. I highly recommend this resort for big families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We chose Tg Rhu Resort to be our Honeymoon destination. They provide all our request, calm and the best sea view, also with the honeymoon decoration on the bed and chocolate cake for the dessert. We also having our romantic dinner beside the beach, it was a perfect moment for us. The food is really delicious, cooked well by the chef. We truly enjoy our 3D 2N staying at Tg Rhu Resort. Finally feeling like I'm abroad now that I've arrived at the Langkawi hotel. Even charging requires an adapter, and there are fewer Chinese tourists. The bed is advertised as 1.8 meters, but it's definitely bigger than that, larger than the one at home. The bathroom is also very spacious, though the facilities are a bit old, and the showerhead leaks a little. The biggest highlight, though, is the breakfast – it's delicious, and the variety and quality are excellent. The kids' playroom is also good; we didn't have a reservation on the first day but were still allowed to join an activity. However, on the second day, they said we needed to book a day in advance, so I just decided not to bother and left to avoid any fuss. The pool is great, and the kids loved it. We also got to enjoy the sunset there. Getting to the beach requires a shuttle, and the staff member waited for me at the beach. I went at 4 PM, and he said he could wait until 7 PM – the service was fantastic.
