Reviews: Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum + Huoshan Park + Duolun Road Cultural Celebrities Street Half-Day Tour
Guest User2024-07-01
Our journey through Shanghai's Jewish Refugees Museum, Huoshan Park, and Duolun Road was a blend of past and present. The museum revealed a forgotten history, the park offered a respite from the city's hustle and bustle, and Duolun Road showcased the city's vibrant culture. Our English-speaking guide's explanations enhanced our appreciation for these places.

This afternoon, my child and I visited the Memorial Hall of the War of Resistance Against Japan in the Four-Hang Warehouse in Shanghai. Fortunately, Mr. Shengsheng was a lecturer. Mr. Shengsheng is very familiar with the historical background, heroic deeds and details of the War of Resistance Against Japan in the Four-Hang Warehouse. The explanation is detailed and infectious. She not only restores the magnificent scene of the "800 strong men" sticking to the four lines, but also combines historical pictures, cultural relics and multimedia materials to make that period of time vividly unfold in front of us. The child listened very attentively, from time to time to ask questions, Shengsheng teacher also patiently answered, so that the visit process is both educational and interactive. Teacher Shengsheng pays great attention to the visit experience, actively adjusts the rhythm of the explanation to adapt to the child's understanding ability, and also makes the child more invested by asking questions and encouraging observation of details.

We met our guide, Xu Chao, during our visit to Soong Ching Ling's former residence. He truly knew the house and the surrounding neighborhood. His explanations were clear and informative, yet not overly formal; the walk-and-talk style was very comfortable. We would have missed many details without his reminders, and his sharing taught us a great deal about Soong Ching Ling and the French Concession. He was also very approachable and answered all our questions, making the entire tour very smooth. I highly recommend him if you want to learn more about the history of this area.
Reviews: Shanghai must-visit route: Oriental Pearl Radio & Television Tower + Huangpu River night cruise, Chinese group 1-day tour (including cruise)
Guest User2025-11-18
It was a trip with friends, and the guide's explanation was good, but it was a shame that there were no lights around during the cruise. The lights came on for about the last ten minutes, so I was disappointed that I didn't have time to take pictures.

Reviews: Shanghai Yu Garden + Shanghai City God Temple half-day tour: Traditional culture experience with optional Chinese tea tasting

Teacher Mao was very professional. A native of Shanghai, she was extremely familiar with Yu Garden and provided a very detailed explanation throughout the tour. The process wasn't tiring at all. We heard many stories about the garden, some of which weren't even online but were only recorded in the county annals. It was very vivid and interesting. She even took us to the City God Temple before the tour ended. It was definitely worth the trip! Yu Garden truly needs a guided tour; otherwise, you simply won't understand it! This trip was very worthwhile!
