Reviews: Flexible Small Group: Singapore Lion City Tour - Explore 12 Major Landmarks in One Day

Our driver and guide, Mr. Zhong, led the entire tour. There were 11 of us in the car, and he spoke Mandarin with a very gentle voice. The itinerary started at 10:00 AM and we returned to our hotel around 8:30 PM. The meeting point was on the first floor of the hotel, just steps from the subway station, which was very convenient. Mr. Zhong drove and gave brief explanations of the attractions and important information in the car. You could ask questions at any time, but he wouldn't personally take you to each attraction and provide commentary. It was essentially a private tour. The car had comfortable air conditioning. It's advisable to bring a light jacket, as you might need one in places like shopping malls.

A wonderful, slightly damp tour of downtown Singapore with Holden and about a dozen other folks from Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and China. We rode past a whole bunch of sights (too many to remember) including the Singapore Flyer, the F1 pit lane buildings, the Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, the Supreme Court, the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, a Hawker center that is next to a road that is closed down at night because of the Satay lines, and the Sultan Mosque. We stopped for restrooms and drinks a couple of places and when we were in the little India area, we had Samosas and sugar cane drinks with ice. Very refreshing. Holden was a great tour guide and answered many questions with good humor and a smile. Pretty much anyone who can ride a bike can do this tour. It’s very flat and even though Singapore nearly nothing in the way of separated bike infrastructure, we had no issues just riding slowly on the sidewalk (pavement). Pedestrians are very accommodating.

We were a group of 9 and had a fantastic day in Singapore with our amazing guide, Michael Tan! We only had a 40 hour layover in Singapore and wanted to make the most of it. Michael understood the assignment. We were picked up in a comfortable vehicle with an excellent driver at our hotel and whisked off for a full day of exploring! Michael was extremely friendly and so knowledgeable. He's a pretty darned good photographer as well and offered to take many great pictures for us. We enjoyed each and every stop and appreciated his guidance on our delicious lunch in Chinatown. We so appreciated that once Michael found out our evening tour was going to repeat a stop, he suggested we see another beautiful sight instead and made arrangements with the driver. We truly enjoyed this full day tour in beautiful Singapore and the only regret is that we didn't have more days to explore!

The BEST curry ever and some new favorites to order in the r future when we get back home - happily surprised on some fishes never tried and fun local info to help us during our remaining days in Singapore- so happy we booked this tour and glad to have worn stretchy pants to make room for the Michelin star food!!

What an exceptional tour. Gerry loves to teach, has exceptional knowledge and experience, and makes it fun and enjoyable. This is so much more than a food tour. It is as much if not more so, a cultural tour. This is a must do on a Singapore trip, and do it early in your trip to become familiar with the different cultural areas of Singapore. An added bonus is that you will also learn to navigate the train and bus system. Come hungry, because they is a LOT of food. I cannot say enough good things about this tour
