This day trip is entirely independent with no guide. You'll need to transfer twice at the bus stop near the hotel, so please pay attention to the pick-up and drop-off points. Getting to the attractions is a bit rushed and the weather is quite cold, so please dress warmly. Overall, though, it's highly recommended! 👍★

I did this route last year, and this time when I revisited, I specially chose to join a small group tour to the tomato farm. It was definitely worth the trip! There was an Icelandic horse show, a farm greenhouse display, and while it was freezing outside, it was warm and cozy inside. Everything was so clean and tidy. The staff were well-dressed, generous, and polite. I enjoyed delicious tomato soup with farm-baked bread. I was happy and moved. Despite the harsh environment, they still strive to create a beautiful home. That's the Icelander!★

I would highly recommend the mini tour with Jessica as your guide. Our tour guide Jessica was excellent. Her knowledge on Chinese history as well as sites we visited was impressive and allowed us to really immerse ourselves in our mini tour. She took her time and went out of her way to ensure that we experienced the rich cultural experience of the major cultural sites .★

First off our guide Audrey was absolutely lovely. So friendly and informative and very, very caring. Even though some of the south European members of the tour could not be bothered with times. We were told to meet at a place at a certain time and all they wanted to do was their own thing and shop. Poor guide. The other 90% of us loved the tour. You get an hour or so to explore the water village on your own which is nice. The gardens are beautiful and she knew a lot about the history. It is a long day though so, be aware. Really worth it as you get dropped off right near the bund so you can sit and watch the lights and have an awesome riverside nighttime experience. It's like a whole extra experience you don't have to pay for. I would recommend this tour very much.
