I booked this tour and join a group of 6 to the outer of Ulaanbaatar. Visiting Chinggis Khan Statue Complex and Terelj National Park is absolutely worth the money!

The carrier for this eSim is Unitel. The signal was fine in Ulaanbaatar but when we went to rural areas, I found that the signal was significantly weaker than my Mongolia tour guide's. I asked our tour guide what carrier he used and he said Mobicom. So next time I go to Mongolia I think I will try Mobicom instead. I heard that Gmobile is also better for rural areas. We spent a day horse trekking with a herder and he was able to scroll TikTok during the trek, while I had no signal. I didn't ask him but I'm going to assume he was using Gmobile.

I thought it would be a large bus, but it seems the size depends on the number of passengers. I traveled by private car, and it was very comfortable and enjoyable. It was great that the guide (whose name sounded similar to Chanel) spoke English well, the weather was fantastic, and the Filipino brothers I traveled with, Ian and KC, were also very kind. It was great value for the price. If staying overnight in Terelj is difficult for you, I highly recommend traveling this way. You definitely have to visit Terelj!
