I purchased an 8-day eSIM, and it was stable throughout my trip to Fukuoka, including visits to Ito-majima and Dazaifu. It automatically switched to 5G when there was a 5G signal and 4G when there wasn't. The only time I encountered a very weak signal was in a basement restroom in a shopping mall; it was fine once I left, which was due to the mall's antenna coverage and not related to the eSIM. I installed the eSIM in China the day before departure. During installation, it might show an activation failure message, but that's normal. Wait until you can access the eSIM card and then turn it off. Once in Japan, activate it again and switch your cellular data to eSIM. It uses a local IP address, so you don't need to enable data roaming. You can also create a hotspot. The whole experience was smooth, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended!

The signal was very stable and smooth, even in crowded areas. Except for one instance where it dropped when using Google Maps in a parking lot near Lake Kinrin in Yufuin, everything was very smooth and stable. Test locations: Fukuoka Airport, Hakata Station, Hakata Station Underground Shopping Mall, bus transfer station, shopping mall above the transfer station, AMU HAKATA, Canal City Hakata, Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall, Yufuin Train (Hakata to Yufuin), Yufuin. I will definitely choose this eSIM service again when I travel to Japan in the future.
