I just bought it online, scanned the QR code, and installed it before traveling. Once the plane landed, I could activate it immediately. No need to buy a SIM card at the airport. While traveling in Osaka, the signal was quite good. I used Google Maps to check train routes, find restaurants, and check train schedules constantly. The internet was quite stable in areas like Namba, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Osaka Castle. The internet speed in major Japanese cities is excellent, usable even in many train and subway stations. The signal is unstable. After watching videos for a while each day, the signal becomes extremely slow, and even mobile payment functions become unusable.

Bought this e-sim to use for my long weekend trip to Osaka. Worked very well but there were at times when the connectivity wasn’t the best and it took a while to load up. Will buy and use it again as it was super easy to install on the phone and for a great price. There is tethering option available up to 3GB use but have not tested this out.

I used it in Osaka, and it worked almost perfectly, but the subway would slow down sometimes. Does anyone know of anyone who lives in the mountains? I stayed there for a day, and it didn't work that well that time either. But overall, it worked well! Highly recommended!!! I'll be using it again when I travel next month.
