Splendid Peace attraction is a time-traveling city where you can immerse yourself in festivities across millennia. Located in Quanjiao County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, it was jointly developed by Zhexiu Performing Arts and Quanjiao Quanrui. Breaking the boundaries between traditional attractions and performances, this destination creates a new cultural tourism world through grand shows, immersive streetscapes, and countless experiences—blending large-scale performances, interactive immersion, and themed getaways into one extraordinary experience. Within this attraction, time seems to fold freely upon itself. As you stroll through, every step reveals a new scene with shifting lights and shadows: one moment you're transported back to the modern "Floral Boulevard" district, experiencing the glamour of Shanghai's golden age; the next, you step into the Scholars' Quarter inspired by the literary masterpiece The Scholars, witnessing lively street tales unfold before your eyes; then suddenly you find yourself in a vibrant candy-colored world, accompanying children into a fairytale-like sweet city. The centerpiece landmark—the magnificent Brocade Grand Theater capable of seating nearly 3,000 people—stands majestically like a giant ruyi scepter, while the mountain-water stage and container stage on the plaza stand ready to host music festivals, carnival parties, and fireworks shows. The attraction features nearly 100 immersive interactive performances such as "Glamorous Parade," "Modern Night," "Punk Concert," "Candy Party," "Mecha Interaction," "Bubble Show," "Dimension Carnival," "Pear Garden Melody," "Firework Stunts," and "Bonfire Celebration," with NPCs accompanying guests throughout for non-stop entertainment. Here, buildings speak, streets tell stories, days dazzle with dreamlike splendor, and nights glow with vibrant lights. It's the perfect spot for couples, friends, and families to snap photos and experience time travel, offering fun for all ages in any weather. The must-see performance in Anhui, the large-scale immersive cultural tourism show "Splendid Peace," delves deep into the essence of local culture. It weaves together chapters such as "Walking in Peace," "The Drunken Scholar's Ink," "The Glory of the Ming Dynasty," "Loyalty and Courage," and "Splendid Peace." Here, you'll encounter folk rituals and heartfelt blessings passed down for millennia, the refined elegance and scholarly spirit of the Langya Mountains, the grandeur and bustling life of the Ming Dynasty, as well as the loyalty and patriotic fervor of the people of Jianghuai… guiding audiences on a breathtaking journey across time and space. Splendid Peace Attraction. Give me a day, and I'll promise you an everlasting feast of peace that transcends time.Quanjiao · 1.8 km from downtown

Confucius Temple-Qinhuai Scenic Area

4.7/5
7.3k reviews
The Confucius Temple-Qinhuai Scenic Area refers to the Qinhuai River area centered around the Confucius Temple, where the streets, alleys, residences, and historical sites along both banks form a continuous stretch. It has been a bustling and lively part of Nanjing since ancient times. The line "The swallows that skimmed by painted eaves in bygone days are dipping now among the humble homes' doorways" by Liu Yuxi describes this very place. The Wuyi Lane mentioned in the poem still lies hidden among the alleys near the Confucius Temple. Exploring history along the river is the highlight of this area: The Dacheng hall of Confucius temple stands by the water, with a towering screen wall across the Pan pond in front; the nearby Jiangnan examination hall was the imperial testing site for provincial exams during the Ming and Qing dynasties, now replaced by the China imperial examination museum; Zhan garden and Egret isle park both originated from the mansion gardens of Xu Da's family, a founding general of the Ming dynasty—the former also houses the Taiping heavenly kingdom history museum; scattered along both banks within walking distance are historical sites like Meixiang tower (former residence of "Peach blossom fan" heroine Li Xiangjun), the well-preserved Zhonghua gate with its urn-shaped defense system, Wu Jingzi's residence (author of "The scholars"), and ancient ferry relics like Taoye crossing, easily connected into a historical walking trail. Cuisine is also a signature feature of this area: "The eight Qinhuai delicacies" refer to sixteen famous dishes from eight time-honored snack restaurants, including Yongheyuan's crab-shell yellow sesame cakes and dried shrimp shreds, Qifangge's duck oil crispy cakes and sesame oil dried shreds, Jiangyouji's beef pot stickers, and Lianhu pastry shop's osmanthus-filled glutinous rice balls. The Confucius Temple area and Laomendong are lined with teahouses, snack shops, and various stores, offering plenty of opportunities to rest and grab a bite when tired, along with the chance to pick up some souvenirs. The highlight comes after nightfall: board a painted boat from the pier in front of the Confucius Temple, listen to the guide while admiring the white walls and black tiles illuminated by riverside lanterns—this is the classic "night mooring on the Qinhuai" experience. From Chinese New Year to the Lantern Festival each year, the Qinhuai River Lantern Festival (also known as the Jinling Lantern Festival), listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, takes place here. The Confucius Temple, Laomendong, and along the Qinhuai River are adorned with lanterns and decorations. "Visiting the Confucius Temple to see lanterns during New Year" remains a cherished tradition for Nanjing locals. Even on ordinary days, the area buzzes with cultural temple fairs, food festivals, and other celebrations, offering unique surprises in different seasons.Nanjing · 49.1 km from Quanjiao

The area surrounding Chuzhou is all mountains. Among the southwestern peaks, the forests and valleys are especially beautiful; the one that appears lush and deep from afar is Langya Mountain. Walking six or seven li into the mountains, one gradually hears the murmuring of water, which cascades between two peaks—this is Niangquan Spring. The path winds and turns, and there stands a pavilion perched above the spring—this is Zuiweng Pavilion…

- Unique architectural style: The ancient city is built with a 33-meter-high Jinfu Building with a pure mortise and tenon structure as its landmark building. It consists of 128 exquisite carved ancient buildings. The overall architectural style combines the characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the local cultural elements of Quanjiao. It has flying eaves, carved beams and painted buildings, and is antique.   - Profound cultural heritage: Taiping Ancient City has deeply explored the local culture of Quanjiao, such as the provincial intangible cultural heritage "Walking Taiping" folk activities, where tourists can feel the charm of folk culture that has been passed down for nearly 2,000 years. - Rich and diverse activities: The ancient city will hold many special cultural festivals such as the Han and Tang Costume Festival, Calligraphy and Painting Festival, Light Show, Electronic Music Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival, etc., as well as the Tang Dynasty Night Parade, Iron Flower, Fire Pot Intangible Cultural Heritage Performances, etc., which bring tourists a rich audio-visual enjoyment and cultural experience. - Complete supporting facilities: The block has a rich variety of business formats, covering multiple fields such as business, education, cultural and creative arts, and competition. There are local specialties such as Quanjiao crayfish, Guanba beef, and Machang mutton noodles. It also invested 100 million yuan to build a high-end homestay Wansongtang Resort Hotel, which can meet the diverse needs of tourists.

The room is exactly the same as the real thing, and the view is superb. It is very convenient for travel. There is a subway station downstairs. The quality of the community is also quite high. The night view at night is very domineering. Let me talk about the butler's service. It is really first-class. The reply to messages is very fast. He also helped us book tickets for a one-day tour in Wulong. The price is really very favorable. He was very considerate and recommended many delicious foods and check-in spots, which saved us a lot of worry. We just followed the butler's recommendations and had peace of mind. This five-star praise must be given.

Niushou Mountain in Nanjing is truly a place that will leave you breathless upon arrival! The Buddha Palace's architectural design is ingenious, with its massive dome exuding grandeur. Inside, the interplay of light and shadow on the openwork dome is exquisite, both refined and solemn, creating a powerful visual impact. Climbing the Buddha Tower offers panoramic views of the entire mountain range, with rolling green hills and lakes stretching as far as the eye can see—a truly expansive and breathtaking vista. The park is vast, with stunning scenery at every turn. The natural landscape blends seamlessly with the architecture, creating a tranquil and healing atmosphere. The park boasts comprehensive facilities, clear signage, and a well-planned route. Whether you're appreciating architectural beauty or seeking peaceful relaxation, it's a worthwhile destination and highly recommended!

We entered the park at 2 PM, and the animals were quite active at that time. However, they went back to their enclosure around 4 or 5 PM. It's clear the park management puts a lot of thought into the setup and care of the animals; there are separate areas between people and animals to minimize human interference.

It is across the street from Taiping Ancient Town and Wu Jingzi's Former Residence! Not many people there, and it's free, so it's suitable for a quiet stroll without any expectations. On the contrary, I feel very happy. The Taiping Ancient Town opposite is really just for a stroll, it's too desolate.

If you haven't been there, it's worth a visit. It's a famous spot in Nanjing, always packed with people. As for the boat tour, if you haven't been before, you can take a ride, but it's probably a one-time thing, so the price isn't great. It's a 40-minute round trip on the boat, listening to the announcements, watching the night view of the Qinhuai River, with its many bridges along the banks. You can learn about history, see the waterscape and night view, and soak in the atmosphere.
