"I have been there twice , and wish to go back again …. did not explore it enough. it’s easy to navigate and find things around"
    Johannesburg South
    4.9km from downtown
Highlights: Located on an old gold mine in Johannesburg, the City of Gold Mines is the largest theme amusement park and leisure entertainment center in Johannesburg. The city of gold mines is themed around the Witwatersrand Gold Rush. The employees in the theme park are dressed in the costumes of gold diggers from the 1880s, and the design of the park is also imitating the style of that era. There are many free-range peacocks strolling leisurely in the park, passing by from time to time. The theme park is surrounded by hotels, entertainment venues, restaurants, children's museums, 4D cinemas, and a journey into a gold mine. The mines of the Golden City were dug to a depth of 3,200 meters underground, and now tourists can go down to 220 meters underground to see the actual operation of gold mining at that time. Also see the actual melting of gold and the process of casting gold coins.

"We had a lovely time at the Johannesburg zoo. The zoo is very green, lush and spacious and has a great diversity of animals. it’s a very nice environment to stroll around and learn about the different animals."
    Randburg
    6.4km from downtown
Highlights: Johannesburg Zoo is home to more than 3,000 species of mammals, birds and reptiles. The enclosure of lions, elephants, giraffes, and great apes is only divided by trenches and has no iron railings at all, so it is very popular with tourists. In addition, the newly designed polar bear habitat and the large bird cage where people can walk back and forth are also popular with tourists. In Midrand, Johannesburg, there is a Transvaal Snake Park, which displays a variety of African snakes, and the scenery is quite attractive.

"Johannesburg Botanical Garden in South Africa was built on the basis of the government's decision in 1969 to build the park. At that time, the overall plant planting design of the entire park was based on 42 trees as skeletons, and other plants were planted according to ecological habits and ornamental characteristics."
    Randburg

Highlights: A huge, very beautiful and lovely park. There is a lake in the park for swimming. The lake is surrounded by large grasslands and woods. There are various types of plants, trees and flowers in the park. Many white people come here to play on weekends. The relatively small Johannesburg Botanical Garden is also among them, also known as the Rose Garden because of its wide variety of roses.
