Highlights: The full name of Geerdi Temple is Dacangna Mo Geerdi Temple. It is located in Ruoergai County, close to Langmusi Town. It is one of the two well-known temples in Langmusi Town. It has 18 branch temples under its jurisdiction. A large and influential Gelug monastery. Dacang Namo means Tiger's Nest Fairy in Tibetan. "Tiger Cave Fairy" is a famous landscape in Langmusi Town, located in the karst cave at the source of Bailong River. According to legend, there has always been a fierce tiger inside. It was tamed by Guru Rinpoche when he came here to subdue demons and turned the tiger into a fairy. There is a stalactite resembling a goddess in the upper part of the cave. The local Tibetans regard it as a god and often come to kowtow and pray for safety. Geerti Monastery is well-known in Tibetan areas, because the temple enshrines the flesh and spirit pagoda of the fifth living Buddha of the monastery, Geerti. The fifth living Buddha of Gerdi was born in 1681 and passed away in 1775. Its body spiritual pagoda is enshrined in a small courtyard on the top of the mountain, and its appearance is very plain, just like the courtyard of an ordinary dwelling. There were people at the gate of the courtyard, and there were many people in the courtyard turning their prayers.
