Anshan Municipal Museum is affiliated to Anshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication, and is a fully funded institution. It is a local comprehensive historical museum integrating collection, exhibition, research, archaeology and cultural exchange with equal emphasis on history and art. It was established in 1983. . Anshan City Museum covers an area of about 10,000 square meters, with a building area of 7,400 square meters and an exhibition area of 3,800 square meters. The appearance of the museum is an antique-style building with gray bricks and tiles. It contains four basic exhibition halls and a multi-functional hall, warehouse, office area and leisure area. There are more than 10,000 cultural relics in the collection, with a variety of varieties, including nearly 1,000 precious cultural relics above the third national level, including ceramics, bronzes, paintings and calligraphy, wood furniture, jade, lacquer, gold and silver, ancient coins and other eleven categories. The Anshan City Museum was named "Anshan Patriotism Education Base" by the Anshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.
