This lake is created by a dam that collects rainwater. It is fun to walk or drive over the dam. The lake is surrounded by mountains full of very beautiful pine trees.

Excellent escape from Athens!
The dam of Marathon and the Marathon lake are totally worth a visit! The view you will have is great, and there is so much green around. I really enjoyed my walking there!

Just amazing views, open air, refreshing and inspiring is a hidden jem just a few kilometers far from Athens and a wonderfully breeze in high temperatures summer days and nights.
