Yongding Tower

The appearance is the eight-story wooden tower in Liaojin style. The tower is69.7 meters high. It is very spectacular. From Gate 3 into the Garden Expo, follow the road to the Yongding Tower, almost all the way to the Yongding Tower, after passing the garden museum to the foot of Yingshan, follow the steps to start the mountain. After reaching a certain height, you can see the Lianshi Lake on the west side and the Yuanbo Lake on the east side through the tree cracks on the roadside, as well as the railway bridge on the lake. At this time, there is a green leather train passing by, and a scene has also been formed. Today it is sunny and visibility is very high. You can see the central TV tower on the edge of the West Third Ring Road from the north. Yingshan is not high, and it took a short walk to the Wenyuan Pavilion on the top of the mountain. There is also an observation deck near the pavilion. Wenchang Pavilion is on the opposite mountain. The new Shougang Bridge in the northwest is also clearly visible. After the forest path to the Yongding Tower, you can perceive the majesty of this tower at this time. According to the introduction of Yongding Tower, the construction area of the Yongding Tower group reached 1.7 10,000 square meters, the base diameter is 42 meters, and the attic-style building is used. Each floor has a 360-degree viewing balcony. Each floor can accommodate 100 people to visit at the same time. In order to facilitate tourists up and down, three elevators are installed in the tower. Standing on the tower, you can overlook the entire Garden Expo Park and see the entire Beijing City from afar. It is really a huge tower that is very shocking. It’s just that I don’t know why the Yongding Tower has not been opened. Although it was a fire in 2013, it has been restored for ten years. According to the original plan, shouldn’t this place be used as the Yongding River History and Culture Museum? Such a magnificent tower has been closed. Unfortunately. From the mountain under the tower, there are two roads, one road is back to the main sightseeing road of the park, and the other is to the park gate 6. It must be clearly separated. I just didn’t pay attention to coming to Gate 6 directly. I found that if I want to return to the main road, I can only turn over Yingshan and return to the park. Fortunately, I was witty and brave, out of the park from Gate 6, sweeping a shared bicycle on the side of the road, and riding along the shooting range road back to Gate 3, so as not to overturn the mountain.

I have visited the Garden Expo many times, this is the first time to approach the Yongding Tower and watch it up close. The Yongding Tower is modeled after the ancient tower of the Liao Dynasty, standing high above the Yingshan Mountain, magnificent and magnificent. Enter the park from Gate 6, to the Yongding Tower recently, there are Wenchang Pavilion and Wenyuan Pavilion around, you can visit together.

Unfortunately, the fire was burning before the completion, and the tower was not allowed to be climbed after the repair, otherwise it would be a good location for the west of Beijing to see the Beijing city. Come in from Gate 6 of the Garden Expo Park and take a few steps to the Garden Bota. Here you can also see the new Shougang Special Bridge.

Yongding Tower is located on the banks of the Yongding River in western Beijing, with a height of 69.7 meters and a cement frame complemented by wooden structure. Officially started in August 2011, it is an octagonal nine-story structure and is an iconic theme building of Beijing Garden Expo.
