Nice little drive with hiking trails.

The 6-mile drive to the tunnel is pretty and the road is good. There are several hiking trails near the tunnel. We walked the Noland Creek Trail and the Tunnel Bypass Trail.

Really cool place to see

This was a fun, adventurous thing to see. We were in the cupcakery in downtown Bryson City and the worker there recommended we check it out. It was a short drive there, maybe 7-8 miles from the town. ...

We went no where today...

and had so much fun! Parking outside of "tunnel" and long dark passage through the mountain was fun~not too crowded today. Gorgeous views of the Smoke on the mountains.
