Nice walk if you are visiting the Shigisan complex
I am not sure that you should make a special trip to see the Shigisan Castle ruins, but if you are visiting the Shigisan Temple complex, it adds to the experience. The path is well marked.
Now, there's only a stone monument and a guide board.

There is a monument to the ruins of Mt. Shigiyama Castle behind the Kubachi Gohodo. Currently, only a stone monument and an information board remain, but it is said that there was a castle tower on the 4th floor turret built by Hidehide Matsunaga. This is the second castle tower built in Japan after Itami Castle, and is said to be a model of Azuchi Castle by Nobunaga Oda. The ruins of the Matsunaga Mansion are located a little down from here.
Shigiyama Castle is located near Kubachi Gohodo at Shigiyama Chogosonkoji Temple. Climb from the entrance of Chogosonkoji Temple. It seems that few people come to the mountain road from the stone monument of the ruins of Shigiyama Castle to the ruins of Matsunaga Mansion. The castle ruins are a mountain road, so let's access your feet with solid shoes. Access to Shigiyama asagari grandson Ji Temple is a bus from Nishi Shinki cable Takayasuyama station, Kintetsu ikoma line Shigiyamashita station, JR Kansai main line (Yamato route) or Kintetsu ikoma line Oji station, but contact ...
It takes about 30 minutes to climb the mountain road from Asaga Sonkoji Temple to reach the ruins of Shinkiyama Castle. The view from the top of the mountain is also wonderful. There is also the site of Dansho Matsunaga's mansion nearby, so if you are interested in history, you should go there. However, the stone steps up are quite tight, so you need to be prepared for a little hike. There are no remains of the castle.
It felt like it was behind the street, so it seems that he will pass by quickly. I climb quite a bit from the main hall. The downhill was also reasonably difficult.
