This year's first visit to Hyuga Yakushi. After the major renovation work, the main hall was very nice. There is an admission fee next to the main hall, but there is a treasure hall. Free parking.

Reizanji Temple is said to have been founded by Gyoki in the 2nd year of Reiki (716). Only one of them, Hyuga and Hojobo, still exist. The thatched-roof main hall was undergoing the third major repair for the first time in 350 years, over five years from 2011. In late November of autumn leaves, looking up at the main hall from under the stone steps in the foreground, the yellow leaves are beautiful.
