Good visit
Built in 1852 to house the rowdy sailors who roamed the streets. The gate house has been rebuilt, but there are information boards around to give the background to the building. Entry is free.
Interesting place to visit just of the main Road in Lahaina.
During the prim whaling years, when Lahaina was visited by hundreds of ships, stopping by for supplies and water, this prison was a very popular place for rambunctious sailors and other rowdy offender...

We were the only visitors to the old Lahaina prison which had a building housing the old cells and some written plackards describing what the prison was like. No museum staff, just a donation slot
