Heading north on the street lined with old buildings, such as the Iwate Bank Red Brick Building, Morioka Shinkin Main Store, and Goza Marumoriku Shoten, there was a retro building with a prominent hexagonal tower. That is Tsutayacho Banya. This building was built in 1891 as Morioka Fire Department Yogumibanya in its current location. The watchtower was accented to the Western-style building, and it was a nice building.
