a stone slope like a cliff.
It is a 123 stone steps and slopes that stick like a wall to the sea side of the precincts of Suitengu. Suitengu is enshrined on a hill designated as the "Otaru City Important View Point" at an altitude of 700m from the waterfront and 55m above sea level, overlooking ships and port facilities moored at Otaru Port. A steep slope is essential no matter which route you go up, but if it is a slope, "Foreigner Zaka" is the best!
