Beautiful peaceful location
We "hiked" up from Pythagoreio and were rewarded with some fabulous views down to the town and airport. The cave church is fascinating and also seems to be 15c cooler the moment you step inside.
Spiritual
The monastery is very spiritual, i am not exactly a believer but the atmosphere there is very unique. And of course with great view on the Aegean

I am not Greek i am a Bulgarian but i admire the greek culture and aw we share the same religion i decides to visit the monastery. It gave me goosebumbs. You feel the energy and the connection with go...
A very interesting visit
Apart from a beautiful monastery, and a view of the city and the coast, it has a very nice small cemetery, and the rests of an ancient temple.
