Great for watching the fishing boats bring in their catches

The best time to go to Rausu's seaport is early morning when the fishermen bring in their catches. You can watch them empty the nets and see the types of fish that are caught in the extremely fertile...

    Deserted

Amazingly quiet. Hardly a person in sight when we vsited. Not a great deal to see either. We struggled to find a cafe.

    The Eagles made my day

Took a boat from the seaport and fed the eagles. Had hoped to see the sea icebut because of the warmth, it was not possible. however the eagles were all around and were magnificent birds.

Sightseeing boats also depart and arrive, but it is an ordinary fishing port where many fishing boats are moored. The Japan Coast Guard ships are also moored. Is it because it is near the border?

    North Country の Fishing Port

    Original Text

I went to June 2019. It is a fishing port in the city of Rausu. There are no shops for tourists, only fishing boats are lined up. Even if you go in the daytime, the fishing is over, and there are few people and it is quiet. Since Shiretoko in June is still before the peak of sightseeing, you can see the usual town of Rausu.
