To be honest, I didn't know which rock was Jizo rock.
Original Text
From the port of Kafuka, go through a tunnel and cross the island to the west coast, the Motochi district. The rock that passes through the villages in that area looks like Jizo rocks? There was a sign saying "Jizo Rock", but the scenery you can see is full of rocks. To be honest, I didn't know which rock was Jizo Rock.
I saw it in the movie "Northern Canary" and I could see it from the Momoiwa Forest Road, so I definitely wanted to see it nearby and took the bus. Currently, buses are being reduced due to the influence of the new Corona, so it is inconvenient to access wherever you go for individual customers, but there were so few people that it was impossible to do so and I was able to relax. It seems that the Rebun Island tour sightseeing bus will be resumed from August, so I think it will be a little better. Hospital bus in front of marine store ...
Parking special - is right and the toilet is nearby. When I got off the car, the nice scent of kelp was . Many families were spreading kelp on the beach and drying it in the sun. If you walk for a while on the beach (avoiding dried kelp), you will see Jizo Rock. Unfortunately I couldn't get to the immediate vicinity, but I could see it well.
Thanks to the tunnel, it takes about 15 minutes by car from the ferry terminal. The sunset is beautiful around Jizo Iwa, but unfortunately it is cloudy today.
I saw it from the Momoiwa observatory, but I knew the location of "Jizoiwa", but I wondered if it was a little. It was shaped like an iron from a distance.
