Tucked away near the large Mall is this monument
Surprising in some ways to see the hammer and sickle but this commemorates the Soviet Soldiers involved in "liberating" Slovakia from the Germans.
Easy to miss.
There are lots of these memorials over Slovakia to pay memorial to the Soviet Army. This is a nice tribute but it can be over looked.
Don't overlook it
This place could be very easily overlooked when you're heading to or from the city center but it is definitely worth the visit.
