Satsuma, who followed the order to discard temples and shrines from the former samurai residence, abandoned the temple and changed his owner to an ophthalmologist. It seems that he bought it in the city and returned it to the original samurai residence. There is also a free parking lot. Admission and explanation by volunteers are free.
Like a samurai residence in Kagoshima, it is a structure that connects two buildings. There was a staff member who guided me and explained the difference between the front guest room and the back living room.
I'm glad there was a commentary from the volunteers. It seems to be the old house of an ophthalmologist teacher. It is near Iriki Elementary School. There is also a samurai residence.
It is the site of the former ophthalmologist's house. There is also a samurai residence in the vicinity, and it was nice to be able to enjoy the retro scenery as a set.
