Shanghai Wanshou Tower

Wanshou Pagoda, located in the south of Qingpu Town, Shanghai, commonly known as the South Gate Pagoda, was built in Qingqianlong in eight years (1743). The Qingxi Garden where Wanshou Pagoda is located is in classical garden style with rockery and is open for free. When we visited, plum blossoms were in full bloom and the scenery was beautiful.

The new year's new weather brought children to Wanshou Tower again ( -ω-`), still can't climb up ( -ω-`), the tower is rebuilt at the original site ( -ω-`). .

The Wanshou Pagoda, commonly known as the South Gate Pagoda, has a history of nearly 300 years. For eight years in Qing Qianlong (1743 AD), Qingpu local officials asked for a light endowment and received the approval of the emperor. The local gentleman was grateful and built this tower on Qianlong's birthday, so it was called "Wanshou". The next year, nearby built a hall, hall, and so on, covering more than 30 mu, called Wanshou Tower Courtyard.

Wanshou Pagoda is commonly known as the South Gate Pagoda. It is located on the sandbank of Dayingpu, outside the South Gate of Qingpu District, Shanghai. The tower was built in Qingqianlong in eight years (1743 AD). Qianlong 39 (1774 AD), repaired by Xu Shu, a former ambassador of Shandong Province. The tower is a brick and wooden structure, square, seven floors, pavilion style. The reason for the construction of the tower is two, one said that during the Qing Qianlong period, Qingpu gentlemen because the tax is too heavy, asked to reduce, the official government, approved by the court, the reduction of the endowment is light, the gentleman feels the emperor's thoughts are great, in Qianlong eight years and the father and son lost the golden tower to the emperor to celebrate his birthday, and built the tower courtyard for worshiping Buddha Jingxiang.
