The Bopiliao Historical Block in Taipei exudes a rich cultural atmosphere of the Qing Dynasty
The Bopiliao Historical Block preserves a fairly complete Qing Dynasty street pattern, traditional Qing Dynasty shophouses, facades post the Japanese colonial urban reforms, and the appearance after reconstruction post-liberation. The architectural space bears witness to the development of the Bangka street and is of great significance for the continuity of the urban fabric.
The block also contains a considerable number of historical traces, including designated historical buildings such as the residence of the national scholar Zhang Taiyan at Guangzhou Street No. 123, Yongxing Pavilion Boat Head Shop, Song Xie Xing Rice Shop, Dr. Lü Achang's Residence, Ri Xiang Hotel, Sun Bookbinding, Xiuying Tea Table Shop, Changshouhao Tea Table Shop, the Taoist altar - Weilingtan, and the public bathhouse Fengxiang Bathhouse, etc. Surrounding the area are gathered historic sites such as Longshan Temple and traditional industries like paper offering shops, Chinese medicine shops, herbal shops, and Buddhist supply stores.
Therefore, the Bopiliao Historical Block truly contains a wealth of local culture, making it an ideal local teaching venue.

Located in Lane 173, Kangding Road, Wanhua District, Taipei City, the whole row of red brick buildings, witness the traces of history, shuttle in the alleys is very retro. Very characteristic street.
The peeling mound was formed in the early Qing Dynasty . spanning the three eras of Qing Dynasty, Japanese rule and Republic of China, and mixed the architectural style and humanistic style of different periods, becoming a city street that represents the characteristics of the mound.
It's an old street with a very atmosphere. The design of the wooden building and the red bricks are impressive. It feels like I've entered a Chinese movie~
The old street of Bopiliao was very atmospheric. It was a waterway transportation route during the Qing Dynasty, but on both sides of Bopiliao Street, the wooden buildings blend with red bricks, making it feel like they are on the old Qing Dynasty Street. There's no shops or anything like this on the old streets of Bofiliao, and they're just managing it like cultural assets.
