Southern Brunch and Playful Interiors at Ida Claire — traveler post in Addison

Southern Brunch and Playful Interiors at Ida Claire

A visit here moves from the memorable exterior and whimsical dining spaces to colorful brunch bowls, biscuit sandwiches, tacos, and playful decor. Ask to see the available seating before settling in because the different rooms and the trailer-inspired details each create a noticeably different atmosphere. A flexible schedule helps because the best choice may depend on the case, counter, or available seating. Save room for one unexpected recommendation, particularly when staff can explain a specialty or seasonal item. That pacing is useful for couples, friends, or families trying to fit several Dallas ideas into one day. Plan ahead. #Dallas #localfood #TexasTravel #thingstodo Allow a little extra time when possible. #thingstodo#localfood

Free Light Forest in DFW — traveler post in Addison

Free Light Forest in DFW

#hellochristmas Vitruvian Lights in Addison is a free, outdoor holiday light display set inside Vitruvian Park along the creek and walking paths. The park’s trees are wrapped in thousands of LED lights that stretch throughout the trail system, creating a fully walkable light experience that you can explore at your own pace. There is no ticket required and no formal entry gate, so you can arrive anytime during evening hours and walk the loop as long as you like. This is a flat, paved path that is stroller and wheelchair accessible, making it easy for families and visitors with mobility needs. On select nights throughout the season, the Town of Addison schedules special events with live music, visits with Santa, and food trucks set up near the park entrance, though most nights are self guided and quiet. This is an outdoor event, so dress for cold weather. Parking is available in nearby public garages and street parking around the Vitruvian West complex. There are also restaurants and bars within walking distance, making it easy to pair lights with dinner or drinks. The display typically runs from late November through January 1 and stays lit after dark each night.

Hotel Recommendation in Dallas, USA — traveler post in Addison

Hotel Recommendation in Dallas, USA

🇺🇸 Dallas, Texas, USA 💓 Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria Let me introduce the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria, a hotel I stayed at during my trip to Dallas, Texas. Located in the Addison neighborhood, this hotel is surrounded by conveniences such as Walmart, Whole Foods Market, and various restaurants and fast-food outlets, all within a 5-20 minute walking distance. It's a great place to relax. Additionally, the bus stop for downtown Dallas is just a 3-minute walk away, making it very accessible to the city center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel features a pool and gym on the first floor, making it perfect for a staycation. The large parking lot also makes it an excellent choice for those on a road trip. The bedding in the rooms was incredibly soft, ensuring a restful sleep. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful amenities, including makeup removal tissues. Each room also comes with a coffee maker, allowing you to enjoy freshly brewed coffee. The staff were friendly, and I especially remember the kind service from the staff at the small café on the first floor. If you're planning a trip to Dallas, Texas, why not consider staying at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria? 💓🇺🇸

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

The Sixth Floor Museum is located in downtown Dallas. It was built to commemorate the assassination of former US President Kennedy. It is called the "Sixth Floor" because the three bullets of the killer Lee Haney Oswald were fired from the sixth floor of this building, which was once a textbook warehouse.
