Sanwei Mountain stretches for dozens of miles from east to west, and the main peak faces Mingsha Mountain across the Daquan River. Its "three peaks stand up and are about to fall, so there are three dangers". The book that contained the name of the three dangers earlier was the "Book of History": "Three Miao in Sanwei", and later in the Five Emperors chapter of "Historical Records", it was also recorded that "The number of three seedlings in Jianghuai and Jingzhou was in chaos, so Shun returned to the emperor. , moved the three seedlings to the three dangers, in order to change the Xirong"; later classics "Zuo Zhuan", "Three Seas Classic" and so on have annotations. Sanwei Mountain is adjacent to the Mogao Grottoes across the Daquan River. The Mogao Grottoes were built because of the Buddha's light in the Sanwei Mountain. According to the inscription on the Buddhist niches of the Mogao Grottoes: "The Mogao Grottoes were built in the second year of Qin Jianyuan (366 A.D.) at the beginning of the Qin Dynasty. The monk Le Zun and Jie Xing were clear and vacuous, and their minds remained calm. They tasted the Xilin wild and stopped on this mountain. Suddenly, they saw a golden light in the shape of a thousand Buddhas. It can be seen from this that the Sanwei Buddha Light is the driving force behind the excavation of the Mogao Grottoes, and it can also be said that Sanwei Mountain is the cradle of the Mogao Grottoes, so there is the "Thousand Buddha Spirit Rock", the second of the "Eight Sceneries of Dunhuang". The high caves are inseparable like siblings. If Mogao Grottoes is a treasure cave of Buddhist art, then Sanwei Mountain is a famous Buddhist art mountain. On the top and bottom of Sanwei Mountain, temples were built in successive dynasties, and incense flourished. Despite the vicissitudes of life and the rise and fall of several times, the Guanyin Well, Guanyin Temple, Laojuntang, Nantianmen, etc. are preserved now. There are many beautiful myths and legends in the landscapes of Sanwei Mountain, and the legends of Sanwei Mountain, Yaochi and Sanqingbird make Sanwei Mountain dreamlike, mysterious and attractive.
