The Ma Ya Mountain Scenic Area is characterized by mountain landscapes and is located in the mountains about 4.5 kilometers southwest of Tianchi. The mountain is about 5 kilometers long and 3056 meters above sea level. It is the highest of the ten peaks surrounding Tianchi, and it is also one of the most spectacular alpine stone forests in the world. Cui Wei on the cliffs of Ma Ya Mountain, with many stone peaks, from a distance it looks like a row of huge horse teeth, looking up like a thousand temples facing the sky, dazzling, and all of them are amazed by the magical work of nature. The strange landform of Ma Ya Mountain is a masterpiece left by rows of ancient glaciers. During the geological period, the uplifted mountains have different fold compositions, and the rock formations have different degrees of density, softness and hardness. The peak rock of Ma Ya Shan resembles the Egyptian Sphinx. According to legends from the local Kazakhs, this is the pasture of a Bayi. The pictographic stone on the top of the mountain is the incarnation of Bayi. On the north side of the mountain peak and at the edge of the forest, there is a columnar-like stone forest formed by weathering and erosion of columnar eruptive rocks. The shape is very beautiful.
