Jiaxing Museum is located on the north side of Zhonghuan South Road in Nanhu New District and on the south side of the Municipal Library. The building is in the shape of a boat, implying that the historical ship sails from the past to the future. Part of the exhibition area, warehouse area and service area in the museum. The exhibition area includes Jiaxing prehistoric culture - "Heyuan", collection of cultural relics - "Hezhen", famous calligraphy and painting exhibition hall, fan art exhibition hall, temporary exhibition hall, etc. Among the cultural relics in the collection of Jiaxing Museum, there are stone tools, jade ware, pottery unearthed from Neolithic sites, bronze ware, jade ware, porcelain ware unearthed from tombs of past dynasties; calligraphy and painting collections include Ming and Qing calligraphy and painting Wen Zhengming, Xiang Shengmo, Lan Ying, Jin Nong , Wu Changshuo, Ren Bonian, Xugu, Pu Hua, Sha Menghai, etc.; the revolutionary cultural relics include the "Changle Fortress Monument" and "Branch Monument" of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the cultural relics left over from the New Fourth Army's anti-Japanese struggle during the Anti-Japanese War Wait. Especially the cultural relics represented by the human head pottery vase of Songze period, the plain three-colored porcelain boat of Ming Dynasty and the calligraphy and painting of famous people in the past dynasties fully reflect the splendor of Jiaxing's ancient civilization and the heyday of literary style.
