Photos of Vieille Bourse

The old stock exchange was built in 1653. It is a Lille-style building with a rough stone wall. There are many huge columns and reliefs outside the building, which looks heavy and solemn. It used to be a place to compete with the stock exchanges of the big Dutch cities, and the more than two dozen houses surrounding the yard were once business houses, and are now a haven for used booksellers, flower sellers and chess players.
