Photos of Matsu Cultural Village

Mazu Cultural Village is located on Dieshitang Mountain on Coloane Island, facing the sea and mountains. The huge white marble statue of Mazu is very eye-catching. There are corridors, mountain gates, altars, halls, dressing buildings, bell towers, and drum towers. There are bluestone reliefs between the stone steps leading to the Tianhou Palace, on which auspicious animals such as unicorns, lions and cranes, dragons and tigers are presented, and the carvings are meticulous. On the front porch of the main hall are eight large circular openwork bluestone dragon columns, painted with a large number of patterns implying happiness.
