Introduction to Houghton Hiking Route The Houghton Hiking is a circular route with no turning back. The total length is about 9.5 kilometers. The clearer season is from January to March each year, while the rainy season from April to September is not suitable for hiking. In addition to being rainy and cold, Horton Plains are often surrounded by heavy fog. The clockwise counter-clockwise route is first to the end of the small world, then to the end of the world, and then to Baker Falls. Counterclockwise is the opposite. After entering the scenic spot, go straight and encounter a fork in the road. There is a large green stone at the intersection to guide the way, turn right is counterclockwise, and turn left is clockwise. The recommended walking method is not recommended for anti-clockwise walking, the better walking method should be clockwise. The reason is that the clockwise road is much closer to the end of the world than counterclockwise, and will go through the end of the small world first, and then to the end of the big world. The road on the left has woods on both sides, and the road on the right has plain scenery on both sides. In the morning, when the sky is not too bright, walk from the left hand and reach the end of the world first, and enjoy the view. Afterwards, take the road on the right hand side in a hurry, you can take pictures slowly and enjoy the scenery. If you go counterclockwise, it will take a lot of time to take pictures along the way. If you go to the end of the world, you will be in a hurry, which will not only delay enjoying the scenery along the road, but also delay seeing the scenery at the end of the world.
