Jingbo Lake is the largest and second largest alpine lake in China and the world. Far from the Tang Dynasty, the Manchu people living here called Jingbo Lake the Huhan Sea, Liao called the fluttering water, Jin called Bierteng Lake, and the ancient tower of Ningjing in the early Qing Dynasty was named Jingbo Lake after the lake.
