The Temple of the Black Temple, also known as the Temple of Krishna (Krishna Mandir), is located northwest of Patanduba Square. It was built in 1636. It is said that King Patan dreamed of the Black Temple of Rishna and built the Black Temple where he saw it. The temple building adopts the Indian Sikh Hara style (Shikhara style), which is spire-style and topped with a glittering platinum tower brake. A total of 5 floors, except for the top of the tower, are completely built of stone, no wood inch nails, like a fine carved stone crafts, known as "the miracle of Nepalese architecture art". An earthquake in 2015 destroyed the temple's exterior. During maintenance, only the general view of the temple surrounded by railings can now be seen. There is a stone pillar in front of the Black Tenjin Temple, above the pillar is a bronze statue of the golden winged eagle of Hinduism, Galouro or Gruda (Garuda Statue), facing the temple.
