Sherwood Arboretum Review

Unexpected discovery hidden in the suburbs. Absolutely charming garden with barbecue facilities, children's playground, shelter, walkways, basic amenities and stunning views of the Brisbane River. Great for walking, picnicking with friends or garden parties. Will come back often!

It is actually a big riverside park with many rides.

This memorial park has largely been untouched. It features memorial trees built in 1925 to honor early members of the community. These trees are now nearly 100 years old. There are children's rides and wooden fortresses, barbecue facilities, family seats and tables. If you want to launch a canoe, there is a pontoon (but walk a little through the park first). There are two artificial carp ponds. My favorite is the silence when I meet runners and dog dog owners in the early morning. I also love it when big trees lose their leaves and you can wriggle your way through them. The park is large and used frequently, but it is quiet sooner or later.
