West Honeycomb Temple is one of the earliest Buddhist temples in Gansu, and has a history of nearly two thousand years. Historically, Gansu has made important contributions to the breeding and development of Chinese civilization. Gansu has been an important channel for the intersection of Chinese and Western cultures. Indian Buddhist culture has been introduced into China through the ancient Silk Road in Gansu. By the Wei, Jin and Southern Dynasties, the Buddhist culture of the temple gradually flourished, and the Buddhist culture of the monastery as the carrier formed an organic part of Chinese culture.
