Bonum Review

Only found this place because I walked past it on the way to the Tokyu Rei Hotel we were staying at. It is on the Peace Boulevard about 15 mins walk from the Memorial Museum. Inside is very European and smoking is allowed after 2pm. But, sick in the back area and the smoke won't reach you. Separate lunch and dinner menu. Dinner is more expensive, but Lunch is the real treat. If you get the set menu you can order wines for 200 yen a glass. The wine is also good, not the usual cheap stuff you get when ordering in a set menu. Service is fast and friendly, even though basic English is spoken here. Mostly Japanese clientele, I think because it is so far away from the tourist trail. So happy to have found this place! Went twice the food was so good. Had the aged beef set menu, the brasserie lunch and the roast beef set menu. Everything was high quality and cooked to perfection. Make the effort to find Bonum, you won't be disappointed.
